There is a strong push towards green computing. Number of events lined up for 2009 says we will be busy listening to all the experts, pretty much around the world. I will be constantly updating this list.

With the rising cost of energy, more IT equipment translates to higher cost of power consumption. So if products continue consuming the power they have been consuming, then it could have serious cost implications. The main goal of Green IT is to reduce the use of hazardous materials, maximize energy efficiency during the product’s lifetime, and promote recyclability.
