Mumbai, India, based IT outsourcing firm Patni Computers has been awarded the prestigious LEED certification for its green IT-BPO center.
Building, based in Delhi, named Patni Knowledge Center is the second largest platinum rated building in the world and first in India.
LEED rating system was set up in the US in 1993, and focuses on design and construction practices that significantly reduce or eliminate the negative impact of buildings on the environment.
Building was designed by Desiccant Rotors India.

Now this is interesting. Harvard University physicist, Alex Wissner-Gross, has calculated environmental impact of a typical Google search query and results are not something Al Gore, famous Google fan, will appreciate. TimesOnline reports:
