The 2009 Good Jobs, Green Jobs National Conference featured a Green Jobs Expo showcasing the many pathways to green jobs and careers, which surprisingly didn’t have any of the blue chip IT companies!
It definitely can’t be lack of awareness considering its hype everywhere, so what’s the deal here?
For example companies like HP, IBM, Cisco and Microsoft are not too excited about Obama’s green initiative. Actually these companies are not even  offering many green jobs. There is lot of talk about green computing initiatives but its not translating into green jobs …

IBM runs the world’s largest commercial technology infrastructure, with more than 8 million-square feet of data centers in six continents to its name, so if it implements its Green Initiatives in a  planned manner ,it surely will assuage the carbon footprints in  large extents and as a matter of fact it has pretty much succeeded in that.
