Undisclosed buyer / Undisclosed U.S. cloud customer compute deal, August 2026
Announced Aug 24, 2026 · Undisclosed · $13.7B · Six-year commercial agreement; approximately US$13.7 billion for three initial GPU-service tranches; later expansion agreements are unpriced
RUM Group's August 24 SEC filing confirms a six-year GPU-services agreement with an unnamed US cloud customer at its Maysville site, then under development. The three initial tranches have an approximately US$13.7 billion total order value, spread evenly across the tranches. The customer must review and accept RUM's proposed delivery date for the third tranche before obligations for that tranche apply. The filing does not name the customer; The Information reports Anthropic, but that attribution is not confirmed by the filing or a company announcement. It states no MW, GPU count, first-delivery date, or utility energization date. RUM said it did not yet have financing for the required development and equipment when it filed; no financing condition applies to its agreement. Expansion agreements are possible but unpriced and are not included.
Timing note: Maysville site is under development; no first-delivery date stated. The customer must approve the proposed delivery date for the third tranche.
