Nscale's January 2025 UK investment announcement said the Loughton site was scheduled to be live in Q4 2026. Its later, more specific September 2025 Microsoft deployment announcement stated 50 MW of AI capacity, scalable to 90 MW, with 23,040 GB300 GPUs targeted from Q1 2027. These are separate site-readiness and customer-service targets. The Guardian reported on September 24, 2026 that UK Power Networks had reportedly told Nscale the grid would not provide sufficient power until the early to mid-2030s. Nscale said it remained committed and was investigating on-site generation and ways to accelerate the connection. The grid timing is a reported risk, not a confirmed compute delivery date or revised company target. Do not infer the facility is energized.
